Frequently Asked Questions
  1. What is a Pagan?
A. Pagan is an umbrella term used to describe anyone who is not a believer in the Abrahamic faiths- Christianity, Islam or Judaism. Many of these belief systems are nature based and/or polytheistic (many gods).

  1. Are Pagans Satanists/Devil Worshippers?
A. NO! The Devil/Satan is an Abrahamic concept and those dieties do not even exist in the minds of Pagans. Thnose who consider themselves Satanists are not in fact Pagans, they are Anti-Christians. The confusion begins because some gods, such as the Celtic god Pan, are horned goat-men and are actually whet the artistic representation of satan was derived from. However, every faith has it's bad apples - it's extremists.

  1. Do Pagans have Sins?
A. Yes and No. Many do follow a fundamental set of morals, such as the Wiccan Rede that reads "Do what ye wilt, and in it harm ye none". Many also believe in consequences to breaking these moral codes, such as the Threefold Law of Karma that states whatever ill you do will come back to you threefold.

  1. Do Pagans cast spells and hexes?
A. Yes, many do. Hexes though are not very common because of morals. Spells, also referred to as Rites, are the Pagan version of prayer. Since we have no church we make a sacred space, ask for the presence of a god/dess and direct energy or focus on a certain desire - just like prayer. The objects used in spellcastin, are merely physical representations of the purpose, or something to direct energy into. The words themselves have no "magic" they are spoken just to raise the energy of the caster.

  1. Do Pagans have a Bible?
A. No. Pagan belief systems are not organized religions. There are over 2000 Pagan belief systems and growing. Belief systems are very personal and are often just as unique as the follower. There are many books written by great thinkers of some systems, but no set doctrine.

Please feel free to email with any questions you may have through the contact page. Many pagans are grounded, friendly people. We are very Locally, Nationally and Globally conscious, just like anyone else. The only differance between Christians and Pagans are our religious beliefs. Regardless of how or what we call our god(s), we are all decent, loving human beings.
